The sun is out, kids are out of school, the weather is hot, very hot... and humid! We know humidity in Texas! So, any family plans for the summer? This is the number one question I get every summer.

Normally, we go out on a road trip. We try to get away from the city, from the internet. We love hiking in nature. Last year, we visited Wyoming, it was absolutely breathtaking!! The mountains, the lakes, the views! Playing with snow in July was so much fun for our kids! Yes, the many hours in a car can be very tiresome, but the rewards are worth it.

You don’t have to go very far to enjoy nature with your little ones, there are plenty of spots here in Houston and surrounding areas that are close to home, but make you feel as though you are a n the wild. I would recommend searching the Harris County Parks and Recreation website, you will find parks close to you.
