Newborn Photographer Cypress TX, Patience

So, I just finished helping my son with his homework, which leads me to write this post. I don't know about you and your kids, but I need a lot of patience when it comes time to helping with school work. My child (and I'm referring to my 9 year old now) will often get distracted, many times he asks to go to the restroom or to go to the kitchen for water, or he will simply look at the pencil instead of his paper. It can be really frustrating to try to help when the person you are helping does not seem to be listening. What is incredibly surprising is that when I ask him to answer, he knows the answer! It's almost as though he was listening the whole time... who knew!! I have learned to simply keep calm, be patient and know that he is learning, in his own way, but he is definitely learning and absorbing the information. Instead of asking him to pay attention, I try to only praise him for his good answers and for his effort.

Each child is different. Even from birth, children can display their personalities, their likes and dislikes. When newborns come to the studio for a newborn photo session, I can tell if they like to be wrapped, if they want their little hands up or if the prefer to lay on a particular side. The important thing for us as parents is to know that our children are not identical to us, that they are there own person, however, it is our utmost responsibility to guide them in the right direction. Kids need our guidance. With much patience, we must guide our children.
