Newborn Photographer Cypress TX, Laundry!

Anyone who has had the privilege of having a newborn baby join their family will undoubtedly agree with me that laundry somehow becomes this huge monster! A monster that you try to run away from but it always finds you, always. No matter what you do, you just can't beat this creature!

I was a young first time mom. Way back, when I had my very first baby, almost 24 years ago, I questioned how in the world could my sweet newborn little girl create so much dirty laundry. Daily. lol I remember learning early on that I even had to pack an extra top for myself when going out anywhere because of the risk of her accidentally spitting up on me. I also learned to place several fitted sheets on her crib separated by a waterproof mat, because I new her diaper would somehow leak. Bibs were great, especially when she started teething because of the constant slobber dripping; oh Lord! I never realized how much carrots could stain, until she started on solids. Seriously, I could not get that stuff out! It was all a learning process, an adventure where both patience and a sense of humor were definitely a must.

I see new parents come into my studio with the same sense of wonder that I once had. It's a beautiful thing! And as a newborn photographer, I now have to launder all the textiles used after every session. The difference for me now is that it has become habit. I do so much laundry that it doesn't bother me all that much. As long as I take care of it routinely, it won't turn into a "monster". I guess at this point, I've learned to "tame" the monster! LOL
