It is so peaceful, I get so much work done, I pray, I plan out my schedule, I make important phone calls, I catch up on my readings…All while sitting in the school car line waiting to pick up my son… Who els does this? I know there are many other parents who must do this since I see parents arriving to line up even one and a half hour before kids are dismissed. And guess what? It’s always the same cars that arrive early.

As a mom, a wife and an entrepreneur, it is important for me to find time for myself, time that I can either do work or simply sit back and relax. It’s very important for anyone to find this time. When we take care of ourselves, we are then better able to take care of our family and the responsibilities that come with being a parent.

Be sure you take time for yourself. You’ll find that you are a much happier person when doing so. Your children will for sure benefit from this as well. I know that being a parent is a full time job, nevertheless, you need to value yourself enough to know that we can all use a little “battery recharge” every so often.
