As a professional photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing many boudoir shots for my clients. Boudoir photography is a intimate and personal experience, and it is important for clients to feel comfortable and confident in their attire during the shoot.

When choosing what to wear for a boudoir shoot, it is important to consider the overall style and aesthetic of the shoot. Lingerie is a popular choice for boudoir photography, as it is both elegant and alluring. However, clients should also feel free to express their individuality and personal style through their wardrobe choices. For those who prefer a more classic and elegant look, I recommend choosing lingerie in neutral colors such as black, white, or nude. These colors are timeless and will complement any skin tone. Additionally, fabrics such as silk and satin add a touch of luxury and elegance to the shot.
For clients who prefer a more daring and edgy look, I recommend choosing lingerie in bold colors and patterns. A pop of color or a unique pattern can add a sense of playfulness and fun to the shot.
In addition to lingerie, clients can also consider incorporating other elements into their wardrobe choices. A robe, for example, can be used to add a sense of mystery and allure to the shot. A statement piece of jewelry or a pair of heels can also add a touch of glamour and sophistication.
Ultimately, what matters most is that the client feels comfortable and confident in their attire. As a photographer, it is my job to capture the beauty and essence of the client, and the right wardrobe choices can help to enhance that beauty and make the client feel their best.
It's important to note that, boudoir photography is not just limited to lingerie, some clients may be more comfortable in comfortable clothes that they already have, or even some with a simple white shirt and jeans, and that is totally fine. The most important thing is to make sure your client is comfortable and feels confident in whatever they choose to wear.
In summary, when planning a boudoir shoot, consider the overall style and aesthetic of the shoot, and choose wardrobe choices that reflect your personal style and make you feel comfortable and confident. Whether that's lingerie, robe, or a simple white shirt and jeans. And always remember that the most important thing is that the client feels comfortable and confident.
